CHUCKANUT, Wash. — A rockslide is blocking traffic on Chuckanut Drive.
The Department of Transportation said on Twitter Wednesday the slide is blocking all lanes of State Route 11 north of Blanchard Road at Milepost 12, which is just north of the Oyster Dome trailhead near the Whatcom-Skagit county line.
The agency says the road remained closed overnight last night because there may be more unstable rocks above it.
Additional equipment and engineers are heading to the area this morning to determine the next steps.
