A Bellingham man is in the Skagit County jail after police say he tried to steal a $900 TV and punched a loss prevention officer.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports Bellingham police arrested the 27-year-old on Wednesday for investigation of second-degree robbery.
Police say the man tried to take the TV from a Mount Vernon store on March 3rd, punched the officer when he was confronted and left the scene.
They say they used his license plate information to track him down.
