BELLINGHAM, Wash. – a Bellingham man has announced he intends to run for the 40th district house seat being vacated by Democrat Kristine Lytton.

Alex Ramel in a news release says he plans to run on a clean energy platform.

The 40th District extends from south Bellingham to north Mount Vernon, and west to Anacortes and the San Juan Islands.

The primary election will be held on August 7 and the general election will be November 6th.
