BELINGHAM, Wash. – Another case of whooping cough at a Whatcom County school.

The Whatcom County Health department has informed Whatcom Community College that a student there has developed pertussis, also known as whooping cough.

In a campus health advisory today, the college says people within three feet of the infected person for more than an hour could be infected, with symptoms starting to show possibly as late as April 9th.

This follows two cases of whooping cough in Ferndale Schools students earlier in the month.
