OLYMPIA, Wash. – A national retailer with four Whatcom and Skagit County locations is in trouble with the Washington Department of Labor and Industries.
L & I has assessed $309,000 in fines to Dollar Tree for workplace safety violations at its Bonney Lake and Kelso stores.
The Department says stores there have repeatedly set unsafe box storage in aisles and blocked exits.
This is the second fine since 2016 for the chain in Washington State. Dollar Tree has locations in Blaine, Bellingham, Burlington and Ferndale locally.
