BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A man is jailed under suspicion he is a serial storage unit burglar in Whatcom County.
The Sheriff’s Office says they arrested Kode William Sirmans Saturday.
The owner of Hilltop Dry Storage on Everson Goshen Road told deputies in February that someone had locked a unit in his facility without permission or a contract so he padlocked over it.
He says someone cut the padlock and the locks on 8 other units, removing some items from those units.
Undersheriff Jeff Parks says an investigation led them to Sirmans, who they say tried to sell a stolen vehicle online, as well as guns stolen in other burglaries.
Parks says they believe Sirmans may also be connected to a burglarized locker at Pacific Self Storage and the investigation is ongoing.
