LYNDEN, Wash. – The Northwest Washington Fair has settled a lawsuit related to an e. coli outbreak at the Milk Makers Fest in April, 2015.

According to attorneys for the Northwest Washington Fair Association, an out of court settlement has been reached with the families involved for an undisclosed amount.

An investigation by Whatcom County Health department at the time found an outbreak affecting the families likely started in the Dairy Barn at the Fairgrounds during the event, sickening 25 persons, mostly children.

No one died from the outbreak.

As part of the settlement, the Fair Association did not admit wrongdoing.
