BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Do you have ideas about the jail and our local justice system? The Whatcom County Council wants to hear from you next Tuesday.

The Whatcom County Council’s Criminal Justice and Public Safety listening tour continues with the 3rd session on May 1st at 7 PM in the Whatcom County Chambers.

The purpose is to get public input and ideas for public safety and criminal justice improvements for the county.

The County Council established the committee to plan an affordable and effective criminal justice program.

More opportunities to participate throughout May and June are available, with meetings being convened in Sudden Valley, Ferndale, Fairhaven, and Maple Falls. For more details go to the Whatcom County Council’s website.
