BELLINGHAM, Wash. – An Oak Harbor woman is jailed following a hit and run in downtown Bellingham.
Police Lieutenant Don Almer says a car hit a 21 year old man on Railroad Avenue between Chestnut and Holly just before 2 a.m. Sunday.
The man, who is also from Oak Harbor, was badly injured.
The driver left the scene.
A State Patrol trooper saw a car fitting the description on James Street and pulled the driver over.
The Patrol determined Kayla D. Pollard was under the influence of a depressant and alcohol.
She was arrested for hit and run and vehicular assault.
