BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Banner Bank is downsizing its operations to four branches in our area after it decided to close its Fairhaven location.

In a letter recently sent out to customers, the bank says it is consolidating its Fairhaven branch into its downtown Bellingham branch on Cornwall Avenue.

The move is planned for the weekend of July 27th at which point Banner Bank says all accounts will automatically transfer and safety deposit boxes will be moved using a security service.

It’s unclear what will happen to employees of the Fairhaven location, but so far Banner Bank has not indicated that workers will move to other branches.
