PULLMAN, Wash. — A student has filed a lawsuit against Washington State University, claiming the university failed to protect her from a hostile campus environment in 2015.
The Daily News reports the university’s Office for Equal Opportunity initiated an investigation after the then-freshman Dominique Stewart said she was called a racial slur at a fraternity house event.
The Office of Student Conduct then conducted a hearing on the matter, and the fraternity member was ousted from the fraternity and school.
But Stewart claims she continued to be harassed after the incident.
