Two days after Highway 20 reopened, an Oak Harbor man died when he missed a curve Sunday afternoon.
The State Patrol reports 22-year-old Fernando Gutierrez was riding a motorcycle east on the North Cascades Highway near Diablo Road when he went off the road and hit a tree.
Troopers say Gutierrez was going too fast for the curve.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
