OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington State’s economy added 7,100 jobs last month.
The Employment Security Department reports 6,500 new jobs were created in the private sector while the public sector added 600 jobs.
Construction led the way on growth in the private sector with 2,100 jobs created.
The statewide unemployment rate was up very slightly at 4.8 percent in April.
