BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. — The search for a missing man has been called off after a plane crash near Bainbridge Island. Over a dozen “good Samaritans” assisted the Coast Guard in the rescue of one woman, but a day and night of searching could not locate Lee Elliot.
KOMO reports Joan Burns and Lee Elliot were on the Cessna 150 that sank after they crashed Sunday.
A fire rescue vessel couldn’t find the plane using SONAR and the Coast Guard suspended the search for Elliot Monday afternoon.
