Washington has the healthiest economy and best job market, surveys say

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington ranks as the number one best state to find a job and the healthiest state economy, according to two new surveys.

WalletHub compared all fifty states across twenty-nine categories to determine job market strength.

Washington was second to Texas for highest starting salary, 7th in job market rank and number one in “economic environment.”

Their report shows Washington has the healthiest state economy in the U.S. and the highest GDP growth.

Alaska, Mississippi and Louisiana have the lowest ranking state economies.
