BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Local non-profit Lydia Place, along with sponsors Whatcom County Association of Realtors and Barkley Village present the 6th annual Handbags for Housing at the Barkley Village Green from 5-9 Thursday evening.
A Beauty Bar, massages and hair services are also part of the purse bazaar where attendees bring their own purse donations, from designer to quirky.
Lydia Place works to disrupt the cycle of homelessness and hopes to raise the funds to expand their housing and supportive service programs that currently serve more than 400 households a year.
