A number of area businesses and other organizations have been affected by a Comcast phone service outage over two days.
The website telecompetitor.com reports businesses using Comcast Business Voice and Voice Edge Select services have been affected around the country.
Shelly Murphy with Smith Mechanical in Ferndale says they were without phone service for about five hours Wednesday and lost service for a while again Thursday morning.
She says affected businesses weren’t able to call out and people calling their number either got a busy signal or notice that the circuit was busy.
