BURLINGTON, Wash. — A Skagit County nursing assistant facing charges of forgery and first-degree theft had his credentials suspended for at least five years.

Patrick Daniel Sigman, who worked at Creekside Continuing Care Community, is accused of cashing a forged check of nearly $7,300 from the account of an 83-year-old resident living at the center in April 2017.

A trial is set for Sigman in July.
