BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol and Bellingham Police helped California police track down a man suspected of abducting a young child early Monday morning.
Freemont Police had a felony warrant for 25-year old Darryll A. Reese, the estranged father of the 6-year-old girl.
Reese was believed to be at a residence in the 1700 block of Texas Street.
Shortly after 8:30 A.M., Reese was contacted outside the residence and taken into custody. Bellingham Police’s SWAT team and Special Investigations Unit were on hand for extra safety.
The 6-year-old girl is safe and was turned over to Child Protective Services.
