BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Bellingham artist is one of sixteen chosen in Washington to receive a $7,500 grant.
Seattle-based organization Artist Trust announced the recipients of their 2018 Fellowship on Monday.
The grant awards funding to exceptionally talented artists across the state.
Bellingham resident Barbara Sternberger was among five winners in the Visual Art category.
She paints abstract art, and has held exhibitions at the Whatcom Museum, the Museum of Northwest Art, and galleries in Portland and Seattle.
