FERNDALE, Wash. — A 70-year-old Bellingham man was taken to the hospital after he collided with a garbage truck Tuesday afternoon.
The State Patrol says Kenneth W. Pridachuk was driving his Chevy Silverado on Labounty Drive toward Slater Road, while the garbage truck was driving west on Slater.
Troopers say Pridachuk hit a stop sign before crossing on to Slater where the garbage truck hit his pickup. His truck came to rest in the ditch.
There are currently no criminal charges and troopers are investigating what caused the accident.
