DARRINGTON, Wash. — A Darrington school board member resigned after posting a slur against Native Americans on social media.
The Daily Herald reports Jeff Koble said a casino should be called “Drunk Indians and government handouts casino.” He later posted he made a mistake.
The comment came after a local tribe announced plans to open a casino near Darrington this summer.
Koble could not be reached for comment.
Superintendent Buck Marsh said the views expressed by Koble do not represent the views of the Darrington School Board or District.
