FERNDALE, Wash. — A young man and woman from Ferndale are in the hospital after troopers say they hit a motorcycle with their car on northbound I-5 late Thursday night.

The State Patrol says 21-year-old Tristen N. Florence was driving in the left lane just north of Grandview Road while two motorcycles were riding in the right lane. Florence changed lanes and hit the Canadian rider’s mirror before Florence lost control and drove into the median.
