TUMWATER, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, in a crackdown on illegal contractors, made visits to 636 construction sites throughout the state June 12-14. In the surprise sweeps, Labor & Industries issued almost fifty citations.
L&I says it puts your dreams and dollars at risk hiring unregistered contractors for your project.
The Department’s job is to confirm the contractor has a business license, insurance, and bond requirements. They send inspectors to show up unannounced at construction sites to make the checks.
