MARYSVILLE, Wash. — A wrong-way driver caused a deadly crash on I-5 Sunday afternoon.

The State Patrol reports 56-year-old Aaron Gentry of Darrington was driving north in the southbound lanes near Marysville when he crashed head-on with a car driven by a woman from Oregon.

A 28-year-old woman from Oregon who was a passenger in that car was killed, while the driver and a child in the car were injured.

Gentry was arrested for DUI and troopers are conducting a vehicular homicide investigation.

The southbound lanes were blocked for several hours.
