BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Alaska ferry sailings are cancelled until Friday while the Columbia undergoes repairs in Bellingham.
The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities says repairs are being made to the ship’s turbo charger and engine exhaust system.
The next sailing is expected to be on Friday.
The Department apologizes to affected passengers and ports and says it’s contacting passengers and rebooking travel.

Last week, the Columbia was evacuated when black smoke was spotted near their bow thruster room.
