SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — A suspected DUI driver hit and killed a couple on Highway 20 near Sedro-Woolley early Sunday morning.
The State Patrol reports 30-year-old Trina M. Junkert of Burlington was driving east on Highway 20 at about 1 A.M. when she hit and killed 64-year-old Wayne Gunsolley and 67-year-old Patricia Gunsolley.
The Gunsolleys had parked their car and gotten out near the intersection with Rhodes Road.
Troopers say Junkert faces charges of DUI and vehicular homicide.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports Trina Michelle Junkert has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide.
Court documents show that Junkert says she saw the Gunsolleys’ vehicle on the side of the road, and the next thing she knew, two pedestrians were in the crosswalk.
Junkert said she had a green light at the time.
