SEATTLE, Wash. — It’s considered one of the worst cities to drive in, and this weekend, Seattle drivers can expect a potential traffic nightmare.

As part of the “Revive I-5” project, KING 5 reports the State Department of Transportation will close all northbound lanes of I-5 between the West Seattle Bridge and the Columbian Way off-ramp starting at Friday evening.

Crews plan to reopen all lanes by 5:00 A.M. Monday.

WSDOT says lanes will begin to open up near the I-405 interchange.

WalletHub ranks Seattle the 5th worst city to drive in due to high maintenance costs, poor traffic and infrastructure, and bad safety ratings.
