FERNDALE, Wash. — Students in Ferndale get free school supplies this year.
The Ferndale School District announced they are covering all school supplies for elementary students in the district this year and providing free supplies to secondary students (grades 6-12) based on need.
Superintendent Dr. Linda Quinn says the school district wants students and families to look forward to school without worrying about affording supplies.
Supplies for elementary students will be delivered to teachers to be ready when they arrive on the first day of school.
Secondary students can pick up their supplies at Vista Middle School on August 28.
