CONCRETE, Wash. — A hiker is dead after she fell on a Sauk Mountain trail, east of Concrete.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports the 71-year-old Connecticut woman was hiking with a local hiking club Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies say she apparently fell from a steep embankment and died before anyone found her.
Her identity has not been released.
