KENT, Wash. — A Kent police officer who was trying to stop a fleeing driver was apparently struck and killed by another officer.
The State Patrol says preliminary information shows the Kent officer was attempting to deploy spike strips at an intersection early Sunday when he was hit by a police vehicle.
The suspect also crashed and one person was taken into custody.
KOMO reports the officer was Diego Moreno, who was an eight year veteran of the force.
