PROSSER, Wash. — A student is suing the Prosser and Granger school districts under accusations that they knew a former educator engaged in grooming behavior with students, but still allowed him to keep working.

The Tri-City Herald reports Stephen Castilleja was sentenced last fall to twenty-seven years in prison for taking pornographic photos and video of children.

The suit claims Prosser school officials knew of boundary issues on Castilleja’s part while he worked there, but paved the way for him to teach in nearby Granger, where his grooming behavior continued.
