FERNDALE, Wash. — State Senator Doug Ericksen of Ferndale began lifting blocks on his public Facebook page for people who say they have been locked out of it for more than a year.
The Seattle Times reports the move came Friday after about seventy-five people, who have opposed Ericksen over various issues, signed an open letter calling on the senator to unblock them.
Ericksen said in a text message Friday to The Seattle Times that he decided to unblock people because the dispute was “an unnecessary distraction from the real issues of jobs, protecting ag, Cherry Point (refinery) industries, new energy taxes etc.”
