KENT, Wash. — Three teen suspects have been charged in the fatal police chase that led to a Kent officer being struck and killed by a pursuing officer’s car.
The King County Prosecutor charged the 16-year-old boy who was driving the fleeing pickup as an adult and filed a murder charge against him.
They say he is to blame for Officer Diego Moreno’s death because he started the police chase that led Officer Mark Williams to fatally hit Moreno Sunday.
Moreno was on foot, putting out spike strips to stop the pickup.
The other teen suspects who were passengers in the pickup are being charged as juveniles.
