BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Emergency repair work on a leaking watermain means the 1200 block of Lakeway Drive will have crews tearing up the road Monday night.
One lane in each direction will be closed from 10:00 tonight to 6:00 Tuesday morning.
City of Bellingham Public Works says residents in the area can also expect to hear jack hammers, excavators and truck back-up alarms.
The work is being done overnight because of how busy Lakeway Drive is during the day, and the city felt this would be the safest time to complete the work.
