BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Ballots are due one week from Tuesday, and the Auditor’s Office is reminding voters that postage is prepaid.

The Whatcom County Auditor’s Office says ballots can either be mailed or returned in an official ballot drop box, located throughout the county and listed on their website.

The state agreed to pay ballot postage after King County announced it was going to, in an effort to increase voter participation and to keep it fair for voters statewide.

Make sure the ballot is postmarked no later than August 7.
