BUFFALO, N.Y. — A New York man was arrested under accusations he left menacing voicemails for Representative Steve Scalise of Louisiana, as well as a Washington State Representative whose name has not been released.
A U.S. Attorney says investigators believe the threats are credible and the prosecutor says “very concerning” items were found in Carlos Bayon’s home.
The messages say in part: “You are taking ours. We are taking yours.”
Rep. Scalise was badly wounded in a 2017 shooting.
