BELLINGHAM, Wash. — If you hear an air horn alarm in Fairhaven Tuesday morning, don’t worry, it’s just a test.
The City of Bellingham says the Post Point water treatment plant in Fairhaven will sound their alarm for ten to fifteen seconds at 9 A.M. as part of a monthly safety test.
The plant’s supervisor, Karl Lowry, said the test is to verify the chlorine leak horn can be heard in all parts of the facility.
The facility holds safety tests on the first Tuesday of every month, except on holidays.
