BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Drivers can expect big delays in south Bellingham most of Thursday.
The Department of Transportation says maintenance crews will close one lane of Chuckanut Drive between Teddy Bear Cove and Fairhaven between 7 A.M. Thursday and 6 A.M. Friday.
They’ll be doing resurfacing and sweeping work along this stretch as part of a big maintenance project resurfacing nearly forty miles of highway on seven different highways throughout northwestern Washington.
The work could cause big backups in the area, so avoid this portion of Chuckanut Drive until the weekend if possible.
