BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Governor Inslee has appointed a local lawyer to fill the late Judge Ira Urhig’s Whatcom County Superior Court position.
The governor’s office says Rob Olson has served as assistant state attorney general for the past eight years and is currently general counsel to Western Washington University.
He’s also been a public defender and practiced law privately.
Olson has also taught business law at Western for two decades.
