Pearl Jam plays Safeco Field to fight homelessness

SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle-based band Pearl Jam will perform the last of their two “Home Shows” Friday at Safeco Field as they raise money to fight homelessness in the city.

KOMO reports between the two shows, Pearl Jam has raised more than $11 million that it will donate to organizations like Mary’s Place, Real Change and the YMCA.

This has been the band’s first performance in Seattle in five years and fans nationwide have flown in to see them.

Both shows sold out quickly.
