BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Police keep finding distracted drivers with emphasis patrols.
The Department says on its Twitter feed that officers pulled over 69 drivers during a four-hour patrol on Friday.
They wrote 39 tickets — 28 of them for using a cell phone while driving — and gave out 30 warnings.
Lieutenant Don Almer says they give the public advance notice of the patrols and their locations to help educate and raise awareness among drivers.
