BLAINE, Wash. — The Blaine School District has received a funding boost from the Whatcom County Council.
The Northern Light reports the district will get more than $131,000 in behavioral health services for the upcoming school year.
The money comes from the County Behavioral Health fund in place for all seven county school districts, and is funded by sales taxes.
It will fund intervention, prevention, and mental health counseling, plus subcontracted services, training, and supplies.
