UPDATE: State Patrol says Olympia kidnapping claim was a hoax

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Early Thursday the Washington State Patrol sent out an email asking for information about a reported kidnapping at a park in Olympia Wednesday night.

The State Patrol now confirms on its Twitter feed that it was a hoax.

WSP says all involved have been identified and confirmed to be safe.

Troopers are still investigating and will work with prosecutors to determine whether any charges should be filed.
