FERNDALE, Wash. — Ferndale teachers agreed to a new contract and are ready to start school Wednesday.
In a joint release from the Ferndale School District and the Ferndale Education Association, superintendent Dr. Linda Quinn called the successful negotiation a team effort that will allow teachers to focus on students on their first day at school.
The new starting teacher salary in Ferndale will be over $51,000, with the salary range topping out at $102,500.
