BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham police arrested a man on various charges after a witness says he hit a mailbox with his car.
Lieutenant Claudia Murphy says Eduardo Gonzales allegedly backed into a yard and hit a post for a string of mailboxes over the weekend and an investigation determined he was under the influence of intoxicants.
Murphy says Gonzales gave police a fake name and when officers discovered his real one, they noted he was only twenty years old.
Bellingham Police arrested him for multiple law violations and booked him into Whatcom County Jail on Sunday.
Gonzales had a warrant for his arrest from San Juan County Superior Court for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
