BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Alzheimer’s Association will host a town hall meeting in Bellingham on Tuesday, October 30 in an effort to educate the community about the state’s plan to address the disease.

The event is one of many that the Department of Social and Health Services planned for Washington and northern Idaho.

Panelists will discuss the “State Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias” and how it plans to help the public and private sectors work on issues they face in working with diagnosed individuals.

Their goals include raising awareness while reducing stigma, making long-term services more available and affordable, helping caregivers and more.
