BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A motorcycle rider from Bellingham was injured in a crash on Chuckanut Drive Sunday evening.
The State Patrol reports 66-year-old Dana Hiler was riding with a passenger about 13 miles south of Bellingham when the brakes on his Harley Davidson locked up in a curve and he lost control.
Hiler was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, and his passenger wasn’t hurt.
Both were wearing helmets.
Troopers blame excessive speed for the crash.
