FRIDAY HARBOR, Wash. — A Shaw Island man convicted of murdering his wife late last year was sentenced in San Juan Superior Court last week.
The Islands’ Sounder reports Eric Kulp was given just under 16 years, with credit for time served.
Kulp pleaded guilty to one count of second degree murder as part of a plea agreement last month.
Kulp’s wife Abigail Finney was missing almost 4 months before her body was found last April.
Court documents say Kulp had bipolar disorder.
The Washington State Department of Health permanently revoked Kulp’s registered nursing assistant credential on Monday.
