BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A former Bellingham police officer and his brother were found guilty on Monday of assaulting two men at a Blaine business last October.
Court documents show former officer Sukhdev Dhaliwal and his brother Jagmeet were arrested last year after accusations that they beat two men who they said were spreading rumors about a family member.
The brothers were tried together and waived their right to a jury trial, opting instead for a bench trial.
A sentencing hearing is set for next month.
